NOTICE TO MEMBERSHIP of the 2025 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

On behalf of the Comtech Fire Credit Union Board of Directors, we cordially invite you to join us on Wednesday, May 21st, 2025.

As a valued Comtech Fire member, you play an important role in shaping the future of your credit union. 

We’re excited to share important news with you! Pending regulatory approval, Comtech Fire Credit Union is preparing to merge with Your Neighbourhood Credit Union (YNCU). This partnership, expected to be finalized in Summer 2025, will bring expanded resources, enhanced services, and greater convenience—while maintaining the trusted, member-first experience you rely on. 

What This Means for You: 

More Branch Access – Once system integration is complete, you’ll have access to 16 YNCU branch locations across Ontario, in addition to Comtech Fire’s six branches. 
Continued Personalized Service – There will be no job losses, and our commitment to exceptional member service remains our top priority. 
Stronger Together – As a combined credit union, we will serve 65,000 members, manage $3.5 billion in assets under administration, and operate 22 branches across 18 communities. 
Honouring Our Legacy – YNCU is committed to preserving and continuing to serve the legacy groups that have been an integral part of Comtech Fire’s history. 

Please join us at our Annual General Meeting to participate in the member vote for the proposed merger.

Dinner and meetings will be held at Parkview Manor, 55 Barber Greene Rd, North York, ON.

•    Meeting Registration commences at 4:00 PM
•    Dinner served at 5:00 PM
•    Loyalty Shareholder Meeting starts at 6:00 PM
•    Annual General Meeting starts at 6:15 PM

All members on record as of April 23rd, 2025 are entitled to be present and participate in the Annual General Meeting. Minutes of the 2024 AGM, Detailed Financial Statements, Auditor’s Reports, and the Audit Committee Reports will be available prior to the meeting, no later than 10 days in advance of the Annual General Meeting on our website at www.comtechfirecu.com, at any of our branches, or can be mailed to you upon request.
