Apply for a CU Succeed Youth Bursary

The CU Succeed Youth Bursary program, established by the Ontario Credit Union Foundation, provides funding for Ontario post-secondary students who are in need of financial assistance for academic, technological, or vocational training.

Bursaries are awarded annually based on the following criteria:

    • The student demonstrates financial need and a history of community involvement.
    • The student is under the age of 25 as of June 30, 2017. (Prior bursary recipients continuing their studies are eligible beyond age 25.)
    • Programs of study may be academic, vocational, or technical.
    • To demonstrate financial need, applicants are expected to have applied to the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP). A copy of your notice of assessment is required. (Students whose OSAP application is not accepted may still apply.)
    • Acceptable grades (65% or higher) are required.
    • Applicants must be Ontario residents and Canadian Citizens or have Landed Immigrant status.
    • Applicants must be a graduating high school student or in attendance at a public post-secondary institution in Ontario.
    • Applicants attending at a school out of province will only be considered if the program is not offered within Ontario.
    • Graduate and post-graduate students are not eligible; however, students on designated programs of study required to become a professional such as a lawyer, doctor, teacher, etc. may apply.
    • This year’s application deadline is June 30, 2017.
